The Buffalo Sabres were in town... Auston Matthews scored his 54th goal to break a 1-1 tie in overtime and it was William Nylander who scored his 34th goal to open the scoring. Ilya Samsonov played great while allowing only one goal as Toronto won the game in 2-1.
